Advanced professional lighting

Setting the scene to perfection: Wendelin Sachtler’s Academy is holding its advanced lighting workshop from 27 to 31 October, 2008, with sophisticated lighting situations being discussed, analysed and implemented at original settings or in the studio.

The seminar will cover:

  • photographic lighting styles for scenic or documentary use: normal style, low key and high key
  • times of day and times of the year for lighting moods (exercises in the studio set)
  • sophisticated lighting situations involving performers and movement (exercises on the studio set)
  • other exercises on special subjects, at participants’ request

Trainer: Leo W. Borchard

Creative lighting is a key factor for this experienced cameraman. As well as working as a Director of Photography, he gladly passes on his know-how as a seminar trainer. His workshops are just as renowned for lively discussions as for solid, practical exercises.

Participants:
-    professionals and people who have attended the workshop on the “Basics of professional lighting”

The workshop is aimed at those working in the media for whom “low key” and “high key” are familiar terms, as well as people who have attended the course on the “Basics of professional lighting”.
